What was ugly was at least twice Jennings threw the ball way too hard to backs who were only 6 or 7 yards away from him. He needs to slow those down and put a little touch on the ball

I think Jennings has the good touch when he isn't a little nervous. Repetition is the key along with poise.

I remember Terry Bradshaw knocking down his running back once on a screen or flare pass.

LSU is avg 26.6 yds per completion, that leads the nation. Dural avg. 50.3 yds/ catch.

Jennings also throws that comeback route about as good as anyone. Both balls to Diarse were comebacks, and the TD one, the ball was right there when Diarse turned around. Please watch that throw and catch again, it was beautiful.

If we can clean up the screen pass and learn to hit some TE seams, we could actually become a pretty dynamic offense...

The screens were beautifully set up for Fournette, but none of the passes were good, he was rifling them and needs to find that soft touch and just loft it short over the rush. I like Jennings' accuracy downfield, though. He needs to be more careful about throwing them to receivers that are closely covered. Several of those incompletions on the crossing route could shave been interceptions and they had almost no hope of being caught. But he seems to have an eye for a guy that is getting open and throwing him a catchable pass.

Not bad for a redshirt freshman playing for a team that used to not field an offense to speak of.

Ugly.....defensive front seven, O-line, and running the same old dull offense that any decent d-coordinator should be able to easily scheme against.
