I never said Reagan didn't like stoners. If he didn't then he was a hypocrite too. Personal freedom's my ass. Now I have said that he knew as much about Marijuana as Stevie Wonder does about the Snellen Eye Chart.

I will say this though, your posts are becoming more and more amusing.

I hated Reagan because he was an anti civil rights, race baiting, weapon's dealing, drug dealing, social conservative nut job, who by his own son's admission suffered from Alzheimer's during his presidency.

Reagan, "the fiscal conservative" , as Governor raised California's spending by 177%. He also left Washington with a (then) record national debt. As governor he raised taxes 30%, and raised taxes many times as President, but you all seem to only remember the one tax cut. Reagan as governor also signed legislation creating the California Air Resources Board, leading to the nation's first tailpipe emissions standards. He also signed a bill leading to amnesty for illegals, he also signed an abortion rights bill. He also opposed a ballot initiative that would have permitted the firing of openly gay teachers. 2 or 3 years into his presidency the unemployment rate spiked to about 10.8 percent also.

Gee, so let me get this straight, If the above mentioned would have been done by a Democrat, you would consider him/her a lefty looney, socialist, nut job, marxist, commie, hippie, tree hugger.

But Reagan gets a pass because.........hell I don't why he gets a pass, maybe it's because he was white, I don't know. Just like RWilliams you have had the wool pulled over your eyes, and were fooled into believing that your hero was the ultimate Republican, and greatest President ever. He was neither.

Did the truth come out about OJ? Who went to jail over Watergate? Not Nixon, but loyal crony crooks like Gordon Liddy.

Sorry, the convicted criminals were the Presidents Men, you can't put this on the prosecutors. Trading with the enemy is pretty despicable behavior for you to defend, Sgt. Rock.

    WHERE does the buck stop?

a quote from the Cato instute:
"Stephen Moore of the Cato Institute stated that "no act in the last quarter century had a more profound impact on the US economy of the eighties and nineties than the Reagan tax cut of 1981." He claims that Reagan's tax cuts, combined with an emphasis on federal monetary policy, deregulation, and expansion of free trade created a sustained economic expansion creating America's greatest sustained wave of prosperity ever. The American economy grew by more than a third in size, producing a $15 trillion increase in American wealth. Every income group, from the richest, middle class and poorest in this country, grew its income (1981–1989). Consumer and investor confidence soared. Cutting federal income taxes, cutting the US government spending budget, cutting useless programs, scaling down the government work force, maintaining low interest rates, and keeping a watchful inflation hedge on the monetary supply was Ronald Reagan's formula for a successful economic turnaround."

Reagan was the reason why America under his presidency had the greatest sustained wave of prosperity ever. 15 trillion dollars of American wealth was created during his tenure. He set the stage for growth in the 90's. These are facts.
Obama has done just the opposite than Reagan did on every issue listed above. That is why he will never have growth as Reagan did. Private enterprise creates wealth. Goverment intrusion hampers growth. These are my opinions from what I believe. I just made it up. Not the Cato inst. quote but the last paragraph. That was a special disclaimer so red won't have to say it.

Instead of wealth distribution we should be working on wealth creation. Social justice is not creating a nanny state but creating an atmosphere where wealth is created for all. This is done in the private sector.

Oh, he was far from perfect.

Arming and creating the most feared/respected terrorist today is a pretty big blemish.

Trading weapons for hostages was a pretty big blemish.

Supply-side economics improving the standard of living for the ultra-wealthy and stalled the standard of living for everyone else. He effectively transferred the bulk of the country's wealth to the top 2% while shifting the tax burden ion the middle class when wages on average didn't increase for over ten years. It was so bad that George H.W. Bush was forced to raise taxes in an attempt to rid the country of a 3 trillion dollar deficit which directly led to his failure at re-election. The economy didn't even begin to recover until the mid-1990's thanks in large part to the technology boom and American productivity increases. This was way more than a blemish; It was a massive scar and the worst part of it is that people still today buy this line of bull**** simply because people attach Reagan's name to it.

30 years later and we're still waiting for it to "trickle down"...

Sure, he could talk well. Most actors can. He was a splendid politician and represented the country well internationally, but he was not a good President.

Don't even get me started on the billions wasted on the "War on Drugs". Reagan would have been better suited as America's first King than our 40th President.

Regan didn't give immunity to Ollie before he knew what he was going to say. That was some lib senator. I remember he was all sorts of pissed off because he thought he had the dirt he needed on RR. Instead, he got

    "I'm sorry but I don't recall"

Like I said, you have a bunch of speculation, accusation, and insinuation but nothing based on fact. I'm loving this.

I have been hearing talk on tv about trump running for president. The man has to be brilliant with success he has had in the business world. If the USA was ran like a business and all of our resources were used we may be able to dig ourself out this hole. Trump says with the proper management this country could become prosperous again. Hell we couldn't do much worse. It's not like we would have a community organizer as president. I think maybe a businessman might know how to compete with china. Hell it's amateur hour at the whitehouse now. What do you all think. If it's a choice between Barry and the Donald who do you vote for?
Donald Trump trails President Obama by just three points in new poll
