The few Irish fans I know are okay. In fact my daughter's been dating this guy who is a Notre Dame fan- as is his dad. They're very low-key. This season I would send him some shit for big games. An OU helmet printed in color and a sooner schooner (or whatever the wagon is called). I put Bob Stoops as the return addy on one and Sam Bradford on another one of a picture of their stadium. He figured out it was me but seemed almost not razzed; in fact, said they were pretty good (the pranks). I told him I liked his son a lot to let my daughter put a dam Notre Dame jersey on my credit card for Christmas last year.
Yes, the media lovefest with ND is nauseating, but so is the media's love affair with Bama and Saban. That's a wash for me.
This is why I would be Ok with ND beating bama. I'm hundreds & hundreds of miles away from any real concentrations of ND fans. I can ignore the media; I can't ignore all those fat slobs decked out in their ugly crimson shit at the beach.
