Man I remember when LSU fans would scoff at “individual” awards. Then Burrow won now Jayden and people are shitting their pants. Some trying to equate us (LSU) being in any “All time” Heisman talk . lol Congrats to Jayden.
I think individual position awards are fine. However, my actual opinion is that the Heisman is outdated. There are many freak athletes across the college football landscape. as it stands, Jayden earned it. However, if it didn’t exist, so be it. I watched it because Jayden won it. Otherwise, couldn’t care less. if Marvin Harrison Junior gets an invite, Malik neighbors, should get an invite. That can go on and on. And just to bolster the point… Milroe was on some of the lists. He didn’t start the whole year. He does play for Nick Saban though. If he had started successfully first game this year, it would be in his hands, whether JAYDEN’s numbers were better or not. Barring significant injury, it’ll go to Milroe next year, bank it. That’s the second reason why I think it needs to go.
