No doubt you guys will be fresher...But seriously (not trying to start crap either) do you not think that it will hurt you guys with JR out?
All we need is a guy to get the ball to our talented play-makers. Flynn is a smart guy, he has time to work with this offense. Maybe our receivers will be able to catch a Flynn-spiral easier than a Russell rocket. Addai may be fresh enough to rush for 150 and 3 TDs. Flynn can scramble and do things with his feet. I like our chances, obviously. I think our Defense will be a lot fresher. This team really needed a break in any way possible. I think our O-Line needs to get **** together ASAP. This is getting ridiculous watching what was supposed to be one of our team's brightest spots looking like a bunch of... confused football players. I'm looking forward to Miami. It's fitting that we play the 'Canes!
Folks, we made DJ Shockley look like Charlie Ward. UGA torched our secondary not once but twice and then proceded to win the game by running it down our throats. U of Miami has some "big time" offensive weapons who will be rested and ready to fire after seeing what UGA did to us. Kyle Wright is a young QB but if LSU doesn't put pressure on him then he'll have a big game too.
I still can not believe that LSU can lose a game when DJ Shockley completes 6 passes.:angryfire I wouldn't say he torched the secondary because they will give up a big play every now and then.
Come on.....seriously This is the #1 D in the nation, in fact I would say it's more than just a little bit better than LSU's...that's how tremendous they are on D....it's basically LSU's D of 2003 we are going up against....just try and phathom that for a second Addai getting 50 yards rushing would be a success as far as I am concerned
50 or 150, it may be a bit of hyperbole, but you see my point. Addai is hurt and had struggled much of the season. But who knows?
With the way the offense has been playing, LSU is going to have a real hard time doing anything against Miami. Once again we will need a tremendous defense performance to win this one. Miami will fill the box and bring pressure on JR and plug up the hole so that LSU can't run. They will see the film and learn that if you pressure JR consistently he will start throwing off his back foot and make bad decisions. The offense needs to start running some quick drop plays and unload the ball quick. JR hangs in the pocket too long and then has to roll out and the WR's are forced to change routes or come back to JR. How many quick passes has LSU thrown. It seems there is rarely a quick drop and quick pass. They have just started running some quick slants late in the year.
