Former five-star recruit Lache Seastrunk has an open door to transfer from Oregon if he so chooses, multiple sources have indicated to The Register-Guard over the last 24 hours, and this morning a report out of his native Texas indicates that the running back will seek a transfer to Baylor....... Seastrunk, who redshirted last fall, has been buried on the Ducks' depth chart this preseason behind not only returning stars LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner but also true freshman De'Anthony Thomas, walk-on Ayele Forde and occasionally another true freshman, Tra Carson....... A five-star recruit according to both Rivals and Scout in the class of 2010, and the No. 4 player overall in the country according to The Sporting News, Seastrunk was one of the most highly touted players ever to sign with Oregon. His recruitment is believed to have come under NCAA scrutiny because he has been linked to scouting service operator Willie Lyles, whose relationship with the Ducks is being investigated. "Seastrunk absent this morning; looking to transfer?" | Oregon Football with Rob Moseley | The Register-Guard "We wish Lache all the best in his future pursuits and will offer our complete assistance to him in his search to continue his football and educational career," said the announcement attributed to UO coach Chip Kelly. Buried in the depth chart perhaps our #6 RB. Interesting to see if any recruiting revelations are unveiled now that Seastrunk will be free to talk about it.
jmo He will get buried on the depth chart at Baylor too. Most overrated player in the country last year in my opinion.
....the news of the day is that junior cornerback Scott Grady has been granted a release from his scholarship and will look to transfer. Grady is a fourth-year junior from Tigard who played mostly special teams the last two seasons.... ....Tra Carson bullied his way through the line for a first down on the second snap, and two plays later Bryan Bennett connected with Colt Lyerla on a touchdown pass. The ones took the field and were unable to muster so much as a first down against the No. 1 defense..... http://www2.registerguard.com/cms/i...l/comments/monday-afternoon-practice-update1/ "Monday morning practice update" | Oregon Football with Rob Moseley | The Register-Guard
...."It's my job to look closely at a football team. To talk with the players and coaches. To listen. To observe. And most times, you can see an obvious deficiency on offense, or defense, or in coaching. In the last 16 years, I've covered Notre Dame as a beat reporter, among others. Also, I've covered the Big 10 Conference, the Western Athletic Conference, the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Pac-10 and I've worked eight Bowl Championship Series national title games. I believe this year's UO football team could lick any team I've ever been around. It's why I'm picking Oregon to go 12-0 this season and play again for the national championship Until a few days ago, I had the Ducks 11-1, but after the developing drama"..... Canzano: Pieces are falling into place perfectly for Oregon Ducks | OregonLive.com Seastrunk's departure creates opportunity for freshmen Tra Carson and De'Anthony Thomas | OregonLive.com
It's gonna be awesome, isn't it. I mentioned the other day, that I just can't see past this game, all I see is Oregon vs LSU. We have another game a week later, but I haven't thought a lick about it yet.
I agree with Canzano that Oregon has a pretty easy schedule after LSU, but this year's Duck team would have beaten the '05 Texas team or any of the SEC steamrollers of the past???:insane: We know this guy's smokin'.
For some reason Clownzano is sucking up to Oregon fans. Complete 180, usually he just hammers on the Ducks, now he calls himself a homer. His lame remarks about how good this year's Ducks are laughably transparent, pathetic. I'm not buying it, he doesn't give a rats ass about the Ducks, all he cares about is his career. He's made me spitting mad a number of times. And that is his intent, he wants attention above all else. I think he's a real odd ball, someday he's going to be on CNN, not as a sports correspondent, but as a whacko about ready to jump off a bridge.
