He said nothing has changed with the status of suspended linebacker Kiko Alonso, who left practice in a purple scout-team jersey, which is probably a good sign that he won't be playing next week.....

Yeah, well oregon111 is one of the biggest asses on the site. Generally though, I thought the Duck fan comments were pretty supportive of JJ and LSU.

 

.....“Jarrett Lee is a good quarterback,” Kelly said Saturday. “He’s played in over 25 games in his career there. He’s thrown over 2,600 yards. He played as a redshirted freshman and threw for the most yards of any freshman in LSU history. You just have to watch the second half of the Florida game last year when he rallied them back and threw a touchdown pass with six seconds to go on an unbelievable back-shoulder throw. So he’s a real proven kid; he’s the son of a coach. Was a highly recruited kid coming out of high school; a really talented kid.
“They’re different styles. He’s more of a drop-back guy than the runner that Jordan was, but (Lee’s) a proven kid who’s played in a lot of football games. He’s a senior, so he has a lot of experience. It’s going to be a challenge.”.....


.....As expected, two of the most touted recruits to ever sign with Oregon will indeed see action as true freshmen this season.
Kelly confirmed that tight end Colt Lyerla and running back De’Anthony Thomas had won backup jobs and will probably make their debuts for the Ducks against LSU......

OREGON vs. LSU

.....The Oregon football team, accompanied by its best-ever preseason ranking of No. 3 nationally, will face fourth-ranked Louisiana State this Saturday at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, at 5 p.m. PDT. For the Ducks, it will be the chance — finally — to address the sour taste in their mouths left by January’s BCS National Championship game loss to Auburn.

“It’s a way bigger game to me, bigger than the national championship,”
..... “It’s going to be a new thing. We’re going to have jitters in our stomachs, but it should be OK after the first play.”
