The Most Underated/Overated player on the 2005 team.

while it is your opinion.....I don't think Kyle Williams can be given the "underated" title. He is getting more pub than anyone on the team. CFN named him the top player in the SEC. You can't get much more hype and recognition than that.

However I do agree that Williams is a monster and will live up to his expectation and prove some to be correct and some to be wrong. But I think he is getting the pub and recognition that he deserves.

 

Well, yeah he is getting pub from non-important websites, but when it came down to actually choosing pre-season all-sec he was 3rd team. That is what I was relating to.

 

Gotcha....well in that case I do completely agree with you.....I had forgotten about him being completly over looked on the Preseason All-American teams......there is no question that he should be a 1st teamer.

 

Any mid-season reevaluations?

Who's proven to be worthy of the hype? Who hasn't lived up to it yet?

 

Underrated -- Melvin Oliver

Overrated -- Matt Flynn

 

Underrated- Highsmith, Oliver, Daniels, Brazell, and Dorsey

Overrated- David Jones (I think he could be great still, but he hasn't done much with limited opportunities), Hester, and Flynn seems like a good one

 

Underrated: Chase Pittman

Overrated: JV (based upon high hopes for a 2003 redux).

 

Agree with Vaughn. He's playing very well and he is the guy who will always stick out in my head as the one who put the nail in the coffin against Oklahoma with the delayed blitz on Jason White.
