This June, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Jonny Lang will hit the road together for the first time on a co-headlining U.S. tour. The tour will begin June 11 in Portland, Maine, and will head down the East Coast and into the Midwest and South, culminating with a show in Louisville, Kentucky, June 28. Saw that yesterday and while I truly love Marvin's work I think they got away with one here. Especially the way it went down in court.
Looks like I might be able to catch one of the Ohio shows. Hopefully they open more dates. Oh and Lang usually sings his stuff, KWS sang on one cd that I know of and it's hands down the worst music he has ever made. Noah Hunt is a kick ass vocalist though.
I dig em both obviously. Seen Lang a few times at HOB but hate to have to go to Ohio for anything. That place sucks and there's not too many states I feel that way about. But it looks like the best venue logistically.
Especially the way they did it. Jury heard the production release of the Thicke tune and basically a ground track with no lyrics and many of the fished version of the Gaye song omitted. Bad bad bad precedent. This hopefully gets over turned.
