Is this new formation designed to get better blocking or better coverage down field??

Don't get better blocking won't have to worry about down field coverage:grin:

Don't really need it if you get the punt blocked or only kick a 32 yarder which is what we've been doing.

I've never stated whether I like it or not but here's what the coach said last night........

but I know where opponents of the formation will attack him on this one.

And thats all I have to say about that.

What's frustrating about the formation is...there seems to be no method behind the madness.

    It's a tired cliche,' but here goes...if it ain't broke, ...........

Poor coverage is problem with the net punting drop-off, not the punter or the 1 blocked punt out of 22.

    • Jackson averages 42.2 yards a punt, the best in the SEC.
    • LSU has had only one punt blocked this year. LSU has had punts blocked every year. It's not a problem.
There is no problem getting the punt off, there is no problem punting long either. The problem is failure to tackle the punt returners.
