What I'm personally hoping for is a lopsided game against say ole miss where they come in and block 3 of the punts from that stupid formation and Miles finally realizes that the formation sucks. That way LSU still wins and hopefully we get rid of that formation.
What do I have to do to show you that he is not averaging 42.2 yards per kick? OK, Red follow slowly...... Go to the LSUsports.net website. LSU has him averaging...... Average Per Punt............ 39.4 But the SEC has him averaging Average Per Punt............ 36.4 No 42.2 average........just look at the sites. The SEC has our net punt average at 27.3. Lowest in the SEC. So explain to me at 36.4 how would he be the leading SEC punter?
Now this could be a real factor. I haven't noticed a big drop in hang time, but it could be true. He's put more into the end zone this year instead of dropping them inside the 10.
OK, here is what I just copied from that website. LINK PUNTING No. Yds Avg Long TB FC I20 Blkd ---------------------------------------------------------- Chris Jackson 21 871 41.5 58 3 4 4 1 TEAM 2 35 17.5 35 0 0 0 1 Total.......... 23 906 39.4 58 3 4 4 2 There is a difference between individual, team, and total stats, you know. Well you didn't mention a source for this number, so I will show you the link to the official NCAA statistics for LSU. LINK-NCAA.org 22 punts for 929 yards = 42.2 yard average. You have not shown us any statistics where Jackson is averaging 36.4 yards a punt. Actually its 31.5. There is a difference between punting average and net punting, did you know that? That LSU has the lowest net punting despite having a punter with a high average is exactly my point! It is obvious why net punting is so low. Coverage--LSU is the third worst punt coverage team in the nation.
Sometimes, the old punt formation didn't work either. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W00D0gee93E&mode=related&search= GEAUX TIGERS
HUGE Difference between the 35 that Miles claimed and the ACTUAL 102 ranking according to the NCAA Stats
