BTW, UF's longest scoring drive was 41 yards. All of their scores came off of turnovers. Take those mistakes away and it could likely have been a 31-0 or 38-0 contest. Our offense moved the ball at will for the most part before the miscues on the respective drives.
You obvioulsy don't know SQUAT about football. There are VERY, VERY FEW FRESHMEN QB's that can be inserted into the starting lineup and provide better decision making and better results than what we're getting with Russell at this point. There's a REASON Russell isn't posting David Greene numbers and that's because he doesn't have the experience. ...and after reading your comment, I will venture off and say the same thing about you. I will only blame Russell for ONE of the turn-overs that he had--and that one being the INT when he should have thrown the ball away. Russell's fumble, if you recall, was made right before halftime when impatient fans started booing that we weren't throwing the football and trying to score before halftime. So, after some big runs by Addai, and we're further away from our own goal line, the coaching staff tried to appease the crowd by granting them their wish and attempt to score. Russell drops back to pass, gets hit as he's in the middle of his throwing motion, and fumbles. Things like this is a "double-edged sword" for a coaching staff. You throw right off the bat at the start of that drive, and if you don't move the ball, and are forced to punt deep in your own territory, and the fans will get pissed that you didn't run down the clock more. But if you try to score, and after getting out to around mid-field and start throwing, if a turnover is forced, the fans get pissed. :dis: THe ONLY way Miles can win with people like you is if he scores on every drive. Get a life, pal. Enjoy the win.
JaMarcus also did well in leading us down the field in the final minute vs. Auburn. One Early Doucet drop away from a GW field goal. BTW-If we play Alabama the same way we played Florida, we will beat them easily. Did you see the Bama offense against Ole Miss? Were you once, during the entire Florida game, anything but confident that our Defense would hold?
actually I said that after the tenn lost which obviously I was wrong b/c I did not think florida was this bad.
Looks like the defender that caused the fumble was right in JR's blind spot; he never saw the guy coming. The problem with fans booing is that most fans are not necessarily as sophisticated with the game of football ( including myself ) and think they know what is best for the team in terms of plays, etc. There are quite a few posters on this board that do know football, and I find it quite a pleasure and informative in reading their posts, and that includes the humor and fun pics. I think the booers should act like real fans and shut up, as the boos obviously can affect the players' concentration and psyche. A lot of the game is played on emotion. It doesn't help the team by being so negative, whereas positive reinforcements from the fans can help the team perform better. ________ UGGS
