Big East is a Pittsburgh fan!!!! He thinks they are going to another BCS bowl this year. Big East = Big Least
Right now, Russell is the problem with the offense. He makes quite a few bad decisions and seems to panic at times. I think the root of his trouble is his lack of command of the offensive scheme and his inability to make plays when things go badly. I don't think Perilloux is the answer right now; I doubt that he has any more command of the playbook than Russell as this is his first year in the program. Flynn might be the answer, but who will ever know if he isn't given any meaningful playing time. So far, he's only had spot duty and not really given a chance to perform. The coaches need to take a longer look at the Texan. It was conceded by all in the preseason that his command of the offense was superior to Russell's. He might not have JR's cannon, but he has other attributes that JR doesn't have. To name one: he can run. This team doesn't need a star at quarterback to win. They need someone who can manage the game, keep mistakes to a minimum and create opportunities for his receivers and backs to make plays. Sort of like Mauck did when the Tigers won it all.
You're right. He was the only one that turned it over and the only one to get penalized. That bastard. So you favor benching an experienced, insanely talented QB that has led this team to several comeback wins and that has a completion percentage well over 60% for one with relatively no experience and undetermined amount of skill in the middle of an SEC West race? Brilliant. You don't know anything about football if you think Flynn is absolved from any groing pains. The inconsitencies you see with Russell would be at least 3 times words with a noob. Take this milarki elsewhere.
everyone said if Tigers turn the ball over Like they did at vandy Fla. would win. Tiger did have 5 turnovers and still beat gators. Tigers will beat Bama on Talent alone . LSU will make Bama cry UNCLE!
I'm sorry, although I don't agree with alot of the filth in this thread, if you guys really believe that turning the ball over 4-5 times a game (regardless of whose at fault), and thinking that we win on talent alone has not been around football very much or seen what momentum can do for a team regardless of talent level. A footbal team cannot continue to turnover the ball and be dead last in the conference in penalty yards and continue to have success week in and week out, I don't care who you are playing and what kind of talent they have. It always comes to bite you in the ass, maybe not this week or the next but its comin.
Wrong. And for every other dumb comment you had, just go ahead and assume I repeated what Contained Chaos said. :thumb:
LOL.:hihi: It blows my mind that the real problems plaguing this team are SO obvious, yet people still want to rekindle the QB controversy.
The turnovers must stop if LSU is to win out. Luckily the UF offense is terrible and the system is not taking root. If LSU has 5 turnovers against Auburn or Bama, we will be killed. IMO, the offense was great against a very very good defense. Remember UF was a highly rated defense and was 1st in the SEC prior to Bama loss. Considering that fact I thought the offense did superb. The turnovers and penalties are what killed them. The game should've been 35-0. JR had a couple of bad decisions but otherwise he was on the mark. He is extremely accurate and has a rocket arm. Every QB will make a bad decision or 2 in a game. I thought the offense and JR was very good with exception to the TO's and penalties. That must be addressed and fixed.
