I've got to admit it's getting better (Better) A little better all the time (It can't get no worse) I have to admit it's getting better (Better) It's getting better OK,, we're only 2/3 through with the weekend series vs Who Dey, Who Dem and Who Dat but you've got to be encouraged by the way Hess and then Gilbert have pitched. For Hess it's his 2nd dominating performance in a row. Last night was total domination but how good were the Rocket hitters against Hess's rockets? But combined with his game vs Texas it looks like he is the for sure Friday starter. Hopefully Gilbert has found his groove after 2 dismal outings. If so all we need now is a Sunday starter and a closer. Stay tuned for updates after Labas tomorrow. I don't think Hess is capable of pacing himself like CPM had talked about earlier. It's his mentality to try to strike out every batter he faces. That's not a bad thing if he can maintain it and continue to pitch deep into games. If Bush seems like the best bet now for middle relief but I hope somebody really steps up and takes the closer job. Could it be Hilliard? He kind of looks like the Dreadlocks of Doom.
We just have to get Labas and Storz back to make any calls. Those guys were meant to be weekend guys. Plus the whole Walker thing puts a kink in the rotation. Unlike last year, our bullpen looks good.
