You say the Bear never cheated. Why is it that most of his disciples that went on to be head coaches have put their teams on probation. That is because they learned from the greatest cheater in all of college football. The Bear had the NCAA in his pocket for years. That is why Bama has been put on such harsh probabtions twice in the last 10 years. Payback is hell.

Jackie Sherrill - Left three teams with some type of probation: Pitt, Texas A&M, & Miss. State

Gene Stallings - Bama on Probation

Mike Debose - Bama on Probation

    Some examples for you.

The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. They all learned how to cheat from the greatest cheat of all time, "THE BEAR".

Left out Pat Dye. That was one cheatin' drunk. Good coach though. Now he gets a bunch of grass named after him. Shug cheated and they named a stadium after him.

Coach Bryant didn't cheat. He would have been caught if he would have.

I agree you should add Pat to the list. He learned to drink hard and cheat from the master......and also how long it took to beat bama (60 minutes). But aren't you being a little hypocritical about us naming the field after Dye. Last time I checked the stadium in Tuskalooser is named
    Bryant-Denny :hihi:

The house needed cleaning. We still have about 2 more years before we are on solid footing again. After that, we should be the one that causes other coaches to get fired.

It is demeaning for any true LSU fan to sling mud at Bear Bryant, because, our own Coach Cholly Mac was a disciple of Bear, and they were very good friends. Cholly Mac respected Coach Bryant, and I believe that the best LSU fans feel the same way.

These accusations of wrongdoing that supposedly occurred so long ago are just plain silly now. Let's not trash our own SEC football heritage.

My favorite football team in the state of Alabama is the Crimson Tide. I want LSU to win every game against them in every sport that we play, but, I refuse to treat them the way that I treat the Barners.

Many LSU fans will disagree with me, I know, but I wanted the Tide fans that visit our board to know that not every LSU fan hates Bama. We love Cholly Mac, and Cholly Mac would want us to respect Bear's legacy and respect Bama.
