Lee looks scared to death when he drops back. He has missed at least as many throws that have been dropped and most have been short passes. We have no QB.
Well based on the first half, we dont look any better in the passing game than last year (taking into account pass blocking, receiver play and QB play).
We actually look worse and it's back to every team putting 8 in the box daring the LSU coaching staff to call a pass play. I really don't know how you can do so little with so much. What's so concerning is that this was the one thing that needed to improve in the off season. The coaching staff needed to work on the passing game and nothing else and they seem to have failed miserably.
that missed pass to the TE pissed me off cuz it was a great play call and great execution and a piss poor pass that was inexcusable....those plays MUST be made this year[/QUOTE] yes that was sickening
It's the 1st half of the 1st game of the season. I don't see Oregon doing much on offense either. This is almost a perfect time to play a top ranked team. Both of you have to work out the bugs....the one who gets it done quicker wins.
Unrelated to the game at hand, but 25th ranked USC only beat Minnesota by 2 points. Which probably means they'll move up to 13th next week.
Glad we get the ball to start to the second half. Would like to see us with a nice long drive, take time off the clock and extend the lead. :geauxtige
Does anyone know how many rushing ATTEMPTS we have in the first half? I saw Ware has only 10 carries for 43 yds. but I am hoping we get to the 40-50 rushing attempt range...
LSU's defense is great. If the offense could hold the ball for more than three plays per drive they wouldn't be sucking wind. Oregon is greatly greatly overrated. LSU has absolutely no offense and must win on defense alone.
Every team can use the word "if"...but can you imagine what we may have won the past three years with just an average QB? We won most games with horrible QB play. We may have another crystal football.
