24-hour rule. Time to forget State. This Florida team is nationally . . . #2 in total defense #2 in pass efficiency defense #2 in rushing defense #4 in scoring defense Probably the best defense we will see this year, including Bama. LSU averages 45.5 points a game, Florida gives up 12.2 . . . . something has got to give.
Except that we have. TCU's defense is legit, and MooU's was second in the league prior to Saturday. Theirs is still the best D that we'll have seen to date, but it's false to say that we haven't been tested. Their green QB has yet to play in a truly hostile environment. That could be a huge factor.
31-27 LSU I think a good line to draw in the sand for Florida's defense vs LSU's offense is 24 points. That would decide who won the battle. And more than likely the game.
What Florida has done in the 3 games since Murphy took over: vs Tennessee 31 points, 382 yards, 149 yards passing, 1 TD, 2 Int @ Kentucky 24 points, 402 yards, 156 yards passing, 1 TD, 1 Int vs Arkansas 30 points, 355 yards, 240 yards passing, 3 TD, 0 Int Obviously the kid is coming off his best outing by far, so he has much more confidence coming into this game. Those stats still look a lot like the LSU offense from 2010 or 2012, take your pick.
This one may not be the blowout final score of the last game but I think we'll win comfortably. 42 - 30 or something like that.
