I'm sorry but Welter looked pathetically unathletic on that run play. But he appears to be sound in his assigments which is important, as he was there on the next 2 plays.
That epic throw that black QB made reminds of the throws Herb Tyler used to make. Was that the most beautiful pass of the game thus far?
We still need to work on our red zone offense but overall this is a fantastic offensive performance against a very good defense. There is a lot to like... the most important of which is the improvement of Mett. He looks great. The defense is green but will get better as they gain experience and confidence. We've got some work to do but I believe this team is going to be very, very good.
Well I guess we should be stoked that Freak has been silent tonight yet the defense has held up nicely overall (219 yards and 10 points in 3 quarters of play). And the only touchdown they got should have never happened (see senseless penalty).
