no just the almost 2015 mvp first team all nba guy they let go, you know because they didnt want to pay a luxury tax. not the 3 assists per game guy that cant sniff an all-star team.
Iunderstand that he a a good guy but even good guys who are young, rich and have better opportunities usually take them.
And where would that better opportunity be? F - Durant F- Ibaka/Collison/McGary C- Kanter/Adams/McGary G- Westbrook/ Augustin G- Morrow/ Waiters (will probably be traded) Dude, that is strong right there. I can assure you he won't find a better look at a ring than with this team.
Lakers will have a lot of money free under the cap soon. Could make a play for Durant, Westbrook and Anthony Davis in a year or so. Kobe will be gone by then and his $30 Million a year will come off the books. Its pretty rare that a superstar stays in a small market city for his entire career. Tim Duncan is the exception, not the rule.
You forget who is running the Lakers, same people that gave Kobe that ridiculous contract. Anyone can sit and put together a "what if" team. This one is already in place, the core is established and they know how to play together. Realistically, give me a better shot for him.
no better situation to be in for Durant, the Lakers would have to build around him and they are starting out pretty shitty, post-Kobe and he is still on the team.
Hearing Kevin Ollie to replace Brooks. If this happens let me go on record now: Terrible hire. Brooks Jr. @LSUMASTERMIND @islstl thoughts?
