I just don't understand why no adjustments were made. Pelini put the corners in a bad position all game. Right now I feel like this has to be somewhat of a fluke. Maybe they came out in something they didn't expect or something like that, but then why no adjustments. We need to play straight up man to man. We have the speed and athletes.

Good point BUT I don't think Keller could have done better if he were out there against a high school team. How many yards passing did he have against Temple last week? I don't know.

Bottom line........we're in big trouble on defense. Bo is our Achilles heel.

    ONLY????

There isn't any damn reason this team should have given up 31 points to such a one dimensional team.

If Pelini wants to even last a year he better get his head out of his ass and realize that zone **** won't cut it here. We have the athletes to play agressive man. It's Tepper part 2.

What game were you watching, chief? ASU is a damn solid football team. You haven't watched a lot of football have you?
  5. re: The official "Send Pelini BACK to OU" thread - Old Thread

They have virtually no running game. They only made some good runs because Pelini had our defense 20 yards back with their thumbs up their asses all night.

Arizona St. fans are the first to admit they don't have much of a running game. It took a clueless defensive coordinator like Pelini to make them look like they have one. They are one dimensional and still took the LSU defense to the woodshed.

    Nick,

Please give Bo a call and brief him on how to run a defense. He is shaming the players you recruited. They gave up more yards against Arizona St. than they did all last year. :bncry: :bncry: :bncry:

    Thank You,
    Concerned LSU Fan

4-3 zone 4-3 zone 4-3 zone geese how predictable of a defense could you get.this was the most stale defensive performance i've seen in a long time!
  8. re: The official "Send Pelini BACK to OU" thread - Old Thread

Last night I was just frustrated because adjustments were not made, and I just didn't see much pressure put on the ASU offense.

I hope this gets straightened out before the next game.

Stale???? It was anything but stale, that was one of the freshest piles I've ever seen. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry:

not passing judgement on Bo until our next game. if we perform like that twice (good opponents or not) in a row, we are screwed.

also i agree with everyone on the fact that no adjustments were made on D. i'll say the same for offense. they kept blitzing and we did nothing to adjust except rolling JR out every now and then. only one draw play called and that was an audible that i could see coming from my chair. i don't know if it was saban or dinardo that said the biggest improvement comes from a first game to a second but I hope they are right.
