Rack him! If Reggie has monster games like he did today next week and in the Superbowl no way the Saints will cut him. Of course the Yankees cut Matsui after he was World Series MVP
Yeah, Bush really proved how much he sucks and how useless he is against the Cardinals tonight. I wish that guy wasn't on the team, he's horrible.
Reggie's play yesterday showed what he can do if he runs north-south and not east-west. He was hitting the open holes with the speed that we all know he has. He was in Arizona's backfield before they knew what happened. I have to respect that type of running from him...including the fact that he put his head down and laid wood to the defenders to get an extra yard or two. I actually stood up and applauded. His punt returns...even the one he didn't run all the way were for positive yards...I hope he now realizes that running 15 yards to the right and then back again does not work in the NFL. One game does a career not make, but if he plays like this the rest of the year...everyone's negative comments (mine included) will be silenced...and the Saints will most definitely have a Superbowl win. So a win/win for all. Saintslogo
Yes, he had a great game yesterday, it's about damn time. For what he's being paid he should play like that every game. He has always had the talent, he just has never had a football mentality. If he can consistently play like he did yesterday he is a game breaker. If he has one or two games like that every 3 years he's still a bust.
Pretty good analysis of his game, and career situation. The play that stood out to me was the 10 yarder he had on the opening drive. Little toss sweep right, and the Cards did a good job denying him the corner, and making him stop dead in his tracks. The old Reggie Bush would have reversed field and backtracked about 10 yards trying to get to the opposite corner...which he may have done. Or just as likely, would have lost 6 yards. The new Reggie (who actually arrived about mid-season if you've been paying attention) saw a crease behind the play and immediately and decisively hit the hole for a 10 yard gain. If he can run like that consistently (and he's averaged 10.6 ypc since the first Carolina game) I think that will silence the critics.
Reggie Bush is averaging 111 all purpose yards (rushing and receiving) and about 160 yards total when factoring in his punt returns in the 3 playoff games in his career. I would say that is what you call showing up when it counts.
