I dont think he did but I was on/off watching and listening between phone calls. 2 bad shots really sunk him. The put on 15 for par and the tee shot on 17. Johnny jinxed him right before his tee shot on 17 saying that hole had been really kind to Phil then he immediately hits it in the long trash with 5 iron. Everyone else was hitting 4 irons. Lucas Glover? :huh: Good grief. If the course had played the rest of the week like it did today, which should have been the normal conditions for an open at Bethpage, Glover wouldnt have made the cut.
Lefty had some pretty good company at 4 runner ups. I was surprised when I heard Miller reading the list. Jack and Arnie where on it. Dont remember the rest but all were great golfers.
I've always been amazed at the number of Runner ups Nicklaus has. 19 majors and a whole pile of runner ups. Don't remember how many but it was a lot.
yeah, 19 is what tiger needs to beat jack. It's hard to keep all the numbers striaght. That's a lot of runner ups though
