Ok, The Republican candidate thinks middle class is $200K - $250K per year, and the Democratic candidate want to give our money away to those that don't do a damn thing. So, the rest of us, making between $1 and $200K are shit out of luck. Period. I don't know who to vote for, but either way, I feel screwed to the wall. I won't make $250K the rest of my life. How about you? Clearly the country's problems cannot or at least will not be solved by the democratic process!
Did you buy into the welfare reform GOP talking point? But really if you aren't making 250k you just aren't working hard enough.
This is not a great time for our system but if you, me or enough give up on the democratic process and system we are truly lost. What do you do? Start at a local level and go to meetings and demand answers from politicians and actions that change the metric. Vote and work to get people involved. Yes voting is a right but with that right is the responibility to be involved. You get what you pay for and if you put nothing into it you deserve what you (all of us) get. In so many ways we have had it easy since WW2. We were and are the military, inductrial, financial leader and with the very limited exception of the Soviet Union have not been tested. Much of what is happening now is due to drift especially since the fall of the Berlin Wall. I don't have the tools to really describe it but we have shrugged off challenges from all outside commers with ease. We have everything we need to right the ship all we need is the will to face the truth and engage it. Prove we are worth the great legacy we have be left!
People pay him like he has, and that's their prerogative. What people pay other people is not your concern.
