On his reasoning on calling the fake field goal:

"Certainly, coach Meyer knew I would never do this now,"

On the ball hitting the ground:

"When that ball bounced, I thought ... 'certainly it will bounce up.' "

On whether Alabama's loss was mentioned in the locker room:

    "Yes."

    On his critics:

    "I could give a rat's ass."

    I think that's Newton's 13th law of physics.

    So, yes.

Miles quotes have become infamous. His rants will confuse the sportwriters and populace. One has to disect them to understand their meaning at times, and then not totally. Keeps everyone at bay.

And I like the Lescrates post.

What I saw from Les this morning (I had to DVR the game) was some passion. He was very active on the sideline. In players faces when they needed it, in refs faces, and a bit hyper in general. That is the Les i miss from previous years. There is a fire to him when he is that active. I hope it is back to stay. I love that critics quote. Good for him.

Somehow, this 6-0 Miles is a helluva lot better than the 5-0 Miles we had last week.:miles:
