Dodd should be retiring to a cell.

6 republicans will not be returning to their offices either--five retiring and one running for governor.

All the rats are leaving, apparently.

Still maintaining the charade that you're not a liberal Democrat?

So being aware of the whole story makes me a liberal democrat? Why don't you give up trying to mischaracterize what I say, I mean . . . how useless is that when I'm right here speaking plainly for myself?

It easier than trying to add something relevant to the topic, I suppose. :dis:

I wonder what kind of behind-the-scenes persuading had to be done to convince Dodd to retire. It helps the Dems, at least -- him stepping down increases the chances of that seat staying blue, since he likely would've been trounced in the general election.

dodd is old, weird-looking and under a lot of deserved pressure. its a tough sell to say they forced him out.

i think the tally is up to 7 republicans retiring too (and only one of the seats, brownbacks is a GOP lock), so dont get so excited about this you facsists.
