The reason LSU's offense has played better

I don't think anyone can say that the end of Marley & Me is not sad.

 

Its a three part answer as to why the O is starting to click.

First off, the play calling is much better. The coaches arent coddling JJ anymore with the constant screens and slants. He is now actually allowed to go down the field with the ball. You cant expect someone to progress when they arent allowed to.

Secondly, the OL is actually holding blocks. JJ is now given time to actually throw the ball. He can set his feet and let launch.

Third, JJ has actually come around. The bye week seems to have done wonders for him. He is far more confident now. He isnt overthinking, he is stepping up into the pocket and throwing the ball.

The O still has some improvements to be made but its a work in progress. Its come a long ways. The good thing is the recent improvements are begining to snowball. It will breed more confidence. Just hopefully everything comes together this week because LSU has a great shot at knocking off Bama.
