It's Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Ill. Not far from where I live. Their mascot is a "Saluki". A weird looking dog. Google it for pics.

I'm sure they have a real POWERHOUSE football team.

    Huh.

Well, I use "their", "there" and "they're" interchangeable.

I wouldn't call them a powerhouse, for their division they are doing pretty good.
They are 7-1 this year ranked #4 in their division. The certainly don't have the personnel to compete in the SEC week in and week out.

Basketball was there main squeeze for much of this decade and have been in the sweet sixteen a few times including (2002 and 2007), they kind of fell last year but had a good recruiting class.... went to the madness from 2002-2007).

I have no problem with their results for being a second tier recruiting school.

Two SIU players currently playing in the NFL:
    - Brandon Jacobs
    - Bart Scott

I know how confusing it can be when English is your second language. Hang in THERE and you'll catch on some day.

He obviously learned all the great use of the english language from SIU, because I don't think any of us LSU grads have that problem.

    This forum is the best.

    WTF is a "convence"?

For the record, I have never said I use proper English on a forum when talking about football. To be honest, I have no intention of doing so and I have no problem with you misspelling on a forum.

Sometimes I use these as well ......... and sometimes I use these to separate thoughts -- . All are improper English that any school teacher would hate. Sometimes I even use WTF or even WTH or SUXME. All improper English, I am guilty as charged. Hang me up with the other 3 billion other internet users that actually have a life.

Hey, you got me, spelling never was my strong point, but misuse of words now come on. I could understand mistakes like effect/affect or even then/than but there, their, they're thats a stretch. I guess it's ok with to, too, two as well.
