The Reveille has been taken over by whiney butt liberally bias 19 year olds. One year a kid was blasting the university for using prisoners to clean the stadium. It's too hot! They dont get paid! They should recieve health insurace! I want to say he equated the university to slave drivers for using "slave labor". Another girl wrote an article about how the arts department was the best departement because it inspired people. Do like most of the school does- read it for the crossword puzzle and use the rest for the bird cage. Give me a break.
Sounds like a young Gilbleaux in training. Maybe the author is trying to cement their position as an intern next summer at the Daily Advertiser?
That is exactly what I was thinking... I reread this crap pile twice and didn't come away with a clear indication of what it was that he thought we should do. He said that some groups suggested we wear those colors so I guess that is what he wanted to do? What a waste of time.
(a lot of words i might take back after getting banned) what an idiot. get the **** over it. it is a football game, which is designed to be FUN, for both sides. everyone is/was sad. but why mourn all the time, is it too much to try to be happy in life?
skip contacted va tech to ask what they would like LSU to do in honor of those fallen tech students and they replied, something very small. A small gesture since they are ready to move forward, etc. then guilbleaux's son gets a gig. sounds like this lib wants LSU to donate an entire season of revenue to the 32 families after forfeiting this game for them.
That was dumb. Repay what? The Tennesse fiasco? Ok, I'm on bored, let's lay a whuppin on Tech. This guy needs to check his maturity and/or sanity. Why print something that silly, was there anything to explain how giving up the joy of winning a sporting contest will help people over come the pain of people being murdered? So, I guess he's suggesting that the people of Blacksburg are shallow enough to have their grief diminished by being given a game? This is more insulting to VT than LSU.
Here's a letter to the editor that a guy I know wrote. Pretty good job, but he didn't lay into Denton enough.
i'll go even farther and say that just about all those tributes are stupid. means absolutely nothing. its forced and fake, especially if groups feel pressured to do it (like said reveille article). if they want to do something. give some money to the families (although that probably isnt necessary for most of the victims) or better yet, make sure La. has its $hit together regarding mental health policies and security.
