Could the jackass who wrote this article be a product of the "We don't keep score little league", or the "No correcting in red ink on our kids schoolwork" pansy generation who all got a trophy just for participating or never got punished at school but had to see an elementary school pyschiatrist to talk about what feelings he is having that led to his misbehavior? I cannot believe that people actually think this way and try to rain down pointless guilt on a community of loyal fans who support their team. Hey VT...we felt your pain, we prayed for everyone affected, and we all hope that you can put what happened behind you and move on. But, come Saturday, you are going to be treated to an amazing football experience. There will be some world class cuisine, some ice cold beer, (hopefully) a VT butt whooping, and some gracious southern hospitality shown to you win or lose.
throwing a football game as a way to "respect" them is just the opposite as it shows no respect for their team. respect is showing them some good old fashioned southern hospitality and extending the hand of friendship through good sportsmanship. that is the way to say we know pain and hardship, and we know how important trying to regain a normal life is. the kid that wrote that piece of chit has no clue.
I think every team in the BCS should forfeit all of thier games so that VT can win the national championship this year. I think that would make them feel all warm and fuzzy inside. As a matter of fact everyone should stay at home and sit in silence for the duration of the game. The Reveille is a joke. PS The article has nothing to do with liberalism and everything to do with this kid sitting in his dorm with a) no friends b) no booze c) no sex
so im pretty sure i am now dumber for reading that. he sounds like that guy that wrote the article about how LSU fans use the football team and game day as an excuse to just get drunk and act like animals. and that the fans dont really care about the team. That guy is a dumbarse and needs to give up writing!! I really cannot believe this guy even thought that this article made any real sence. sh**!
Money was donated for Katrina because of the massive numbers of people who lost everything they owned. Why would monetary donations be expected for the families of the victims? My husband works for a company in New York; when he's there on business, he has a company driver pick him up from the airport. That man's neice was killed at VT, but I'm sure all they'd like to have back is her.
