No, Jamarkus made his decision. He is signing the paperwork. Ricky Jean-Francois went against his father's wishes and attended LSU. Jamarkus could have done the same, but he chose to succumb to his mother's wishes.

If letting his mom make his choices is what he chooses to do, it's still his choice.

Unfortunately for Jarmarkus, his father wasn't around to tell his mother that. I think the UT coaches did a good job by showing up at his school and trying to talk to him alone, but when his mom found out they did that, she gave UT the ax.

    yep, yep, and yep.

some things are blessings in disguise. i have the feeling this is one of them.

good luck to the kid at ou, and good luck to ou in dealing with his momma.

Wow, and LSU is the dirtiest school recruiting? If all they can come up with is fine girls sitting on the recruits lap, I like where we stand. But my god those are some serious NCAA violations if those other quotes are true...

NCAA is going to take a look into this situation I bet.

This type of journalistic loyalty and influence has been increasing nationally and has far reaching powers that some of these knuckleheads don't realize. There is a "journalist" with cbs.sportsline that is a Florida grad and writes nothing but "Florida's the best" this and that. These articles can be quite influential, and in the case of "J-Mac", as his own mom calls him, will be impacting the lives of a whole lot of Texans whether true or not.

Well we are past the point of no return and there will be ramifications.

I was curious (still am I guess) if anyone from the NCAA will be following up with McFarland and his mom. I guess they could always tell the NCAA that they were exagerrating and of course that doesn't compel anyone to run another article setting the story straight, but I am still curious if anyone follows up with them on their story.

I hope they do. I personally believe Oklahoma is a filthy program and that the only way they get so much talent up there is through illegal recruiting. Of course I have no evidence of this but their history and common sense indicate it.

They have little to no homegrown talent and are located in a boring small town with little to do. Seems legit. :rolleye33:
