1. And how many times have the won the SEC or gone to BCS bowl games since then? How great of a program have they truley been recently? They will continue to buy some great recruits, but that doesn't mean they won't become a mediocre program. Something to think about, if Phil can't beat Spurrier, a lot of recruits are going to prefer going to Spurrier's program...
  2. I don't think Tennessee will drop off the face of the SEC anytime soon. Fulmer has had some very good recruiting classes and they should be OK in the near future. That being said, if Tenn's recruiting falls off then it will be in trouble. Because the Vols have to recruit so much nationally they've got to have a top class to maintain the top level of play.
I think Ole Miss is in real jeapordy. Every Ole Miss fan I know just shakes their collective heads in disbelief when talking about Coach "O". They can't believe their administration fired Cutcliffe, who had brought them to heights not seen since the Johnny Vaught heydays, to bring Ed "Bebe" Orgeron. There aren't any Mannings on the horizon to save the day, and the "fence around Memphis" that Bebe said he was going to put up, well he better let U of Memphis, Arkansas and Tennessee know about that. All the while, LSU and others are picking off the top talent in Mississippi. I also thought that we'd start to see Miss State turn things around a little quicker. It looks like Croom and company have slipped a bit further this year. Losing to Houston and Kentucky isn't good for anything.
  3. While I agree that UT has the potential to slip some, I do not believe they will drop to bottom of the SEC. Only change I see is Bama going back to winning 4-6 games like they have the last couple years.
  4. Tennessee will fire Phil long before they drop to the bottom of the SEC, but it might take a few seasons of mediocrity before they fire him...
  5. He was the OC, not DC.

That is a possibility, but I think he is happy at UGA. He's built a pretty good program up there in Athens.
  6. Richt will never leave FSU for FSU IMO. He's found the perfect spot for he and his family, a great college town within an hour's drive to the suburbs of Atlanta. A state loaeded with talent that he has been able to pretty much cherry pick his recruits, a great fanbase, stadium, and campus. And he doesn't have the legend of Bowden hanging over his head. At least he is insulated from Dooley.

Whoever follows Bowden is going to be toasted, much more than Les is being flamed.
  7. The Bowden in Clemson will replace the one in Florida State

    Terry? Tommy? Timmy?

I lose track of their names :hihi:
  8. Yeah, that doesn't seem very likely.:hihi:
  9. Oh well, but you know what I mean.

  10. OK, I'll bite. How on earth do you see that happening?
