1. first of all i think the million dollars was either spent on players or their new coach.

and secondly, when it comes to changing clothes on the field. the golden girls stripped down to some red, white, and blue swimsuits a few years back during the performace (possibly against bama for veterans day). i've been ok with changing on the field ever since.
  2. But that's STRIPPING on the field. We had that at the beginning of '03 and '04 seasons at the home openers .

This was like they took some fabric on a frame and walked inside of it and changed. Only the top was open and we in the student section could see inside. :D
  3. Actually, when doing the math from the year that Bama's Band was given their name (1922 according to my Bama girlfriend...I know shoot me but she's hot and amazingly sweet) due to inflation they would only be worth $91627.30 in the year 2006.

  4. sleeping with the enemy eh, drummer man??
  5. the sudler trophy isnt really the heisman trophy of marching bands. its just a yearly honorary title given to a band thats shown excellence over many generations. you can see from the beginning they started in the big 12 and big 10 schools before even thinking about the SEC. it is really arbitrary, and doesnt say anything about whose band is better than another any given year.

  6. I think you missed the point I made earlier Quad. We probably would have been there before Big 12 if it hadn't been for the SEC band directors. However, seeing as the marching band stuff really started in the Big 10, I don't have anything against them being early winners. And no it isn't the Heisman, that was the LSU Band Department trying to make a bigger deal out of the award than it really is.

  7. EXACTLY! nothin better for recruiting new members than being called "the best in the land"
