hell no. when your pre season #2...winning the west should be a given. and the won the western division. Florida won the conference. before i go, i realize that the more lsu ass people suck on here the more rep points you get. people that actually realize what the hell is going on with this team in the negatives....lol........anyway, you guys have fun. its all in good fun.:geauxtige
It is people like you that have turned Alex Box from the best park in the country to a shadow of its former self. Unless LSU is pretty much the best team in the country you are complaining. You choose to block out the facts, which are, we are still the top baseball program in the SEC, we just won the SEC West Championship, we are going to host a regional, and we are going to win it. We got the pitching and offense to win a Super if things fall into place. I really feel sorry for people like you. You can't enjoy the fact that this is a pretty good season in LSU baseball, and it isn't even over yet. Too bad. More fun for the rest of us.
Holy aristarch Batman! Tell us a little about yourself. I suspect there's not much to tell because your life clearly revolves around the success of LSU athletics. They are supposed to be this, they are supposed to be that and if they don't measure up then there will be hell to pay. These athletes are kids and their only purpose is to get through college and provide a little entertainment along the way. There will be highs and lows and you have to accept the bad along with the good. They don't owe any of us jack-sh!t. It's your perspective that is skewed. If they lose, there's always tomorrow...or next year. It's not the end of the world, although, apparently, it puts a knot in yours. Intelligent posters analyze the pros and cons, theorize what went wrong and why. They don't have a hissy fit and blame the coach or shortstop or centerfielder for not performing to their expectations. Your's and batman's recent posts are not "discussing". You are carping, whining, complaining or snivveling. I like a good discussion as much as anyone. Was using Mestepay a wise decision? What went into Smoke's thought process? Why are our bats suddenly silent? What can be done to heat them up before the regional? Should we tradeoff Hebert's bat for the potential defensive lapses? Should Gill be moved to leadoff since he's the hottest hitter right now? These are all examples of good interesting topics for discussion. "WTF is wrong with LSU? Smoke cannot motivate! We can forget a Super this year because this team is pathetic. These players are just not playing with effort. Those are not good topics for discussion. Those are the rants of pissed off children who don't know how to handle adversity. Get it?
I understand what you're saying, and venting and acknowledging there is a problem is one thing, but why rag non-stop on a team that will be participating in post-season play, and is in the top 20 in the nation? Is that where we wanted or expected this team to be? No, but "sh** happens." I expected this team to win the SEC and be productive in Hoover, but they did neither. Yet they had a successful year, and can STILL BE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! Being negative when a team is dead last in the West and can't beat rent-a-win teams is one thing, but to bash a team that is in the running for the National Championship is ludicrous. :tigbas: :geauxtige
