As Thorny said the 07 VT was the best performance by a Tiger team I have seen in 40 years of going to games. The 07 Fl game was the best performance by two teams I have ever seen in Tiger stadium. Neither team lost making mistakes but the Tigers won on heart and Miles's great gambles and Hester's back.
Hester was my favorite tiger of all time. Never in trouble. Never talking chit. He just delivered and delivered again. There would be no '07championship without Hester. He is the man.
Absolutely. That guy is my hero. I'd have to say that while the Auburn 07 game probably isn't that huge in hindsight, it is still one of my favorite games of all time. "The Catch" still gives me goose bumps to this day. Overall, as much as I love the domination this season, I loved the 07 season. Every single game was a nail biter. That season probably took 5 years off my life.
Miles was asked why he went for the td instead of the winning fieldgoal he said because we wanted to kick their arse. Classic.
That is a great point and probably the one thing I didn't consider. This list is difficult to produce. I took home vs road, how high the opponent was ranked at the time, how late in the season, bowl/sec west implications, etc. all into consideration. Good point about ASU as well. What if we lose that game? Maybe the season doesn't go well and Les Miles is on the hot seat before his career even gets started.
Yeah it is tough, but I'm just glad we have so many choices to choose from spread out over many years. Not like Auburn or Arkansas, or even Bama where they all came from a select few years.
We have been rolling for a dozen years now. Great hires by lsu for coach is the reason. Kids want to come here for les and , when he was here, saban. I hope les stays another dozen.
