You should, especially if you've never read the books. I'm sure it would be the best show ever made if not for the books. I'm not sure I'm going to continue watching it though because it's deviated so much and really badly. But seasons 1-4 are really good.

    Some series not mentioned...

Deadwood (great), The Newsroom, Sleeper Cell and Strike Back (down on the list but entertaining), Justified (Amazon - I love this series), House of Cards (netflix), The Killing (netflix), and Daredevil (netflix).

If you like SciFy - Continuum, Defiance, The 100, and 12 Monkeys (this one is great).

Of course the classics - Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, and Breaking Bad.

Deadwood is a good one, so was Rome. I like Justified too but I like anything with Tim Olyphant or Walton Goggins.

I did...there are a ton of stories based on real events through the directors' experiences in Baltimore. Also a ton of former students and criminals they helped along the way were casted in the show.

Anyone watching Vinyl? First two episodes have been pretty good, though the critics disagree.
