Dan Mullen thinks... Asked Dan Mullen about LSU's big defensive line. Big, physical, he says, and he adds: "I'm sure they would win the NFC East this year." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have more worries about moo state than wvu. Moo state worries just as much as uo , maybe a little more. Wvu won't be able to handle our big men in the trenches, just like uo couldn't handle them. Moo state is used to sec play and sec players. They too have big fast linemen. When you play teams like uo and wvu , they aren't really prepared for what's coming where as moo state is. We usually play like chit on off time games. We play best on Saturday night. The further you get from a Saturday 7pm kick off the worse we usually play. The combination of state having their back aginst the wall, fighting for their football life and a stupid asz Thursday away game has me nervous. I was more sure of winning aginst uo than I am state. I do believe if we don't turn the ball over we should win easily.:tigerhead
I wonder what an unbiased observer has to say about it. Hey Duck, What's your take on the LSU / Mississippi state game? I'm just curious to hear what someone who doesn't bleed purple and gold and isn't an sec homer has to say. We know the bama and au posters think LSU wins big. What's a west coaster's opinion?
True, but this year this team seems to have a special quality to them. I think the early intense preparation for the UO game this season helps prepare them mentally with focus and discipline. So I expect them to have the same focus on Moo State. They all know how Moo State always plays them tough. This will be a real test for LSU; they have been stout with relatively few penalties and turnovers this season playing in home field like environment.
LSU might as well have had a bye week. We were sipping on coolattas in the 2nd half. MSU got pummeled all game long. Physically exhausting. Emotionally spent. I expect a flat MSU team and an ultra sharp LSU. The scheduling this year is genius. The MSU game with only 5 days to prepare and the Bama game with a bye week (we all know what happens with Les Miles' teams with 2 or more weeks to prepare).
Well .. I watched the game .. and I couldn't help but notice that the refs consistently shorted the spot for MState all day long, while they longed the spot for Auburn. That last 4th and 1 that led to winning TD was converted to a first purely by the REF. But we've come to expect that from the SEC refs in Alabama.
I expect this game to be a lot like the Oregon game. Highly competitve and close during the first half. But I think we'll continue to play well and be really physical and focused and we'll wear them out. I know Miss St will play hard, but I don't think they'll have the legs to stay with us for 4 quarters, especially after this past weekend. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
Excellent point. MSU worries me, especially at their place, but I agree with you that we should be able to wear them down in the second half enabling us to pull away if it's a close game. That said, I'd like to see us jump on them early so that a W is a foregone conclusion at halftime. :geauxtige
Fact: Mullen is 2-9 vs the SECW. Fact: The 2 victories were in the egg bowl. Fact: LSU has beat State 10 years in a row. Opinion: LSU smashes through a tired defense in the 4th quarter and wins by 14.
My words exactly Hell, i forgot the quote...........Just hope the LSU team doesn't think of MSU that way............
