SabanFan...care to explain why it took Emmert TWO YEARS to decide to "come home" to his dream job?

Using your analogy...It'd take you two years to fill a position that had been open due to scandal for 24 months? I mean...come on...It just doesn't add up...

Nope, not my year to follow Emmert around. Personally, I don't really care that he left. I am not buying into your Blanco theories either. Chancellors come and Chancellors go. Before I saw Emmert after the Super Regional win last year, I didn't even know who he was. And I can't tell you who was Chancellor before him. I appreciate his excellent hiring in Coach Saban, but I'm not worried. Our football excellence will continue. Blanco wants a 2nd term and she's smart enough not to f**k with LSU football.

The rumor going around was that Bush had been referring to USC as the "Al Gore National Champions." Apparently their claim to a title reminds him alot of the 2000 Florida episode and he doesn't have much respect for them. He didn't want to invite them at first but Karl Rove said California had too many electoral votes and it might not be wise to anger them, especially since half of them are already angry that he opposes their plans to marry their homosexual lovers.

    nice article. best parts:

"The Washington visit has become a part of the national championship ritual, right up there with big championship rings. The Tigers wore theirs Tuesday, a surprise engineered by equipment manager Greg Stringfellow, who had them flown to Baton Rouge Monday night. The players received them on the bus from campus to the airport Tuesday morning.

When the LSU players and coaches lined up on the steps of the U.S. Capitol for photos, several of the players waved their rings to their teammates videoing the scene. "

gotta love it. Didn't see USC's NC rings.

Maybe they are still waiting for Tubby to smoke those National Championship cigars and send them the ring.
