Sounds to me like he is just being honest and not blowing a bunch of smoke
up everyone's ass. All he basicly said is if (we,us,team,ect....) don't win it's not because of the talent on the team, another words he just taken responsibility for the team and the upcoming season.

I think it is good to have a positive approach to talking about what you expect fom these players.

I like confidence and a little fire in someone. It shows you care and when the going gets tough you give everything you got.
