The truth of the matter is that those people are ****ing idiots. Ran into my UF neighbor a while ago. Both of our brothers went to Bama. She pulled for Bama last night. That said, she immediately recognized the elite nature of this game. Everyone in the SEC recognizes it. Only d'bag fans outside of the SEC, and a handful of their writers, want to trash that game and the teams. Fark 'em.
Both of those two defenses will make ANY offense in the country look bad! Have we not proved that the last 5 BCS championship games.....last year a high powered oregon offense went up against a 3rd or 4th best sec defense and the sec defense prevailed......happens every year.
The defenses are indeed great, but neither JL nor JJ are good QB's. A good OL and a herd of good RB's together with a great defense have kept that semi hidden this season. The good part is we can win a NC even without a quality QB.
It's the same story every year. Its funny how 'Defense wins championships' is so cliche', yet people forget it's a cliche' for a reason. Let'em keep doubting us. We'll prove to them AGAIN in January.
You're right, they're not elite. But, with a running attack and defense like ours, they don't have to be. All they have to do is complete enough passes to keep the opposing defense honest and don't make any mistakes and chalk up another 'W'.
With our running game and our defenses those hig octanes passing games would never been on the field. We showed it with Oregon, we showed it with West Virginia. OK State would not be able to run the ball, they will get mono dimensional and our defense will eat their QB alive...high passing offense means that the tiger defense scores 2 pick 6's. Ricky Jean Francois said it very well in a interview in San Francisco newspaper, if Luck goes play the NCG with LSU he will learn very quickly how defense is played in the NFL and probably lose some points in the first pick race.
