I forgot what thread I clicked on... I think the O Line is certainly needing a click factor. I was a big defender of 'this team will get better' and still think they will. But how much better is the question? I kinda hoped that it would click against USL and play lights out, but that didn't really happen. MooU has a strangely decent Dline and I hope they get the Oline problem fixed before Saturday. If not, it could be our Achilles heel for the remainder of the season. Hopefully the guys will work it out in practice this week and it'll be all good by Saturday morning at freaking 11:21 am.
Ciron Black was supposed to be a team leader this year but I haven't seen too much of it. He's not even inspiring this offensive line and has personally gotten a drive-killing penalty in each game. I'm damn glad he returned for his senior year, but so far he is hurting himself in the draft. Time for CB to step it up a notch.
I think it starts and ends with T-bob. He's already admitted to making some wrong calls and putting Jefferson in bad positions.. Center is a difficult position to learn -- and he knows he messed up. Hopefully he's got the drive to fix that issue.. he needs the brains because he's not very big.
In that monday press conference, Les said there was no one guy to point out--that everybody was making mistakes. As for T-Bob, they specifically asked him what he thought of him, and Les said that he got awarded for his incredible performance against ULL -- something like 9 pancake-blocks.
I've been watching Hebert and he playing pretty good for a newbie. He hasn't blown many plays and he's blocking very well, especially on the quick double-team line block then sliding off to block the linebacker downfield. He ain't big and fast, but he's getting blocking angles. Every player on the line has blown assignments, including some upperclassmen who shouldn't have.
