are you kidding me? do you even watch the NBA? If you can play defense in and rebound in the NBA, you will stay in the NBA. look around the league, guys like theo ratliff, samuel dalembert and such are doing just fine in the NBA, relying mostly on their defensive skills, rebounding and getting cheap baskets. That's what a power forward does - hangs around the basket. Ben Wallace is another prime example. The guy couldn't hit the side of the backboard if he tried his first few years in the league. Now look at TT, a guy that has so much upside with all the intangibles - he will work his ass off to develop his shot. So, why do want to discount TT? You don't think he can work on that jump shot? a jump shot can be found, TT's athleticism is a gift that not many have. the guys that don't survive in the NBA are the ones who don't have defense to fall back on. Look at brandon bass, he has been getting PT for the hornets lately because he plays good defense and rebounds. he'll work on his short range jumper this summer vegas and develop into a nice player. TT has much more NBA potential than Bass with his size - he reminds me of Chris Bosh. Once he develops a short turn around jumper, look out.

yeah - if you believe it! I for one, doubt this story based on TT's character. He wanted to win the Final Four more than anyone on that team. UCLA's bigs took him out his comfort zone (away from the basket) and brady sat him on the bench for most of the second half. No offense mobius, but I'm not buying it.

TT didn't say he'd be in Atlanta next year for the Final Four, he said LSU ("We'll") would.

you are one of the guys who thinks he will go into the NBA and immediately block 5-6 shots a game probably...

in the NBA, EVERY power forward is as large and as long as he is...

He will need to be able to score from 16 feet to live up to his pick's status...

this is what Stro never developed...

you LSU homer's will talk about the money he is making and all of the other arguements you all make, but the guy has been the biggest #2 pick disappointment since Darko, because in his 5-6 years in the league, he still has never been a regular starter...

I just don't want that for Tyrus, because I think he can be so much better

As for the Bosh comparison, Bosh was incredible his freshman year at GT... he had better #s than Tyrus, without a compliment post player to take the heat off of TT like Big Baby did

Biggest difference in Ty and Stro is that Stro was and still is soft... very soft.. Ty has alot more to him in that he plays much harder and has a better work ethic than Stro had. They are both very similar in they way they play. I thought that Stro all in all was more impressive in his overall game. Bottom line is someone is going to pay Ty a guaranteed 10 million for 3 years if they draft him as a lottery pick.

I think Tyrus made a good decision. I wanted him to come back, of course. But, if he has no jumpshot like has been said, he needs to go to the league now. Don't let the NBA scouts pick out your weaknesses later on in college. His stock will never be higher. I wish him the best of luck.

well considering he didn't block 5-6 a game in college, I'd be a fool to think he'd do it in the NBA. what's up with the swift talk, anyway. I mentioned three guys with marginal offensive games in the NBA and not one was swift. So, don't infer anything here. I am questioning your comments which make it sound like TT will be a bust. The guy is only 19 and you're saying he won't make it in the NBA. I will give you the fact that an effective post up game is vital for any PF if the league, but you're wrong if you think most PF in the NBA are as long and as athletic as TT. Take David West for example - he is a scorer, but not a great defender or super athleltic. TT could match up well with him defensively. ben wallace who is a true PF playing center since the rasheed acquisition- not the longest or biggest guy, but he plays hard and has developed a nice little jumper. so, why can't tyrus do that?

as far as the comparisons, TT gets it, Swift will never. JEffinbama hit it on the head.
