    Not only was it a case of not getting any good breaks, but Mestepay getting hurt was a bad break and it screwed with the rotation dynamics. Still, overall a very solid team and a great showing this year.

    I have heard scuttlebut that the injury that Mestepey suffered was post-dogpile, and post-arrival in Omaha...

    I wouldn't trust the source as far as I can throw them, but the info seemed well placed enough to have at least a kernel of truth, when taken into context with the bizarre surroundings of his being named starter, and then immediately 12 hours later being named non-starter...

    I remember Ben handling alot of pressure games..

    I also remember that Ben is the only pitcher in college baseball history to
    single-handedly get his team eliminated from Omaha twice...0-4 in two trips.
    Not real sure about his ERA, but it was up there. Sorry, but that doesn't sound very clutch to me.

    In Ben's case, the legend looms larger than the reality.
