I agree. Why would they fly here and bring all the media attention with them if not to offer the job? Maybe it was to please a group of boosters that wanted miles. I think les knows how bad the internal politics are there and decided it wasn't for him. Maybe I'm wrong and les would have left. We will never know the real story. What we do know is that les is great for lsu and lsu has been great for miles. He has went from a school that was second fiddle in it's own state to a yearly top ten and the coach of the #1 team in the country. Lsu will start at the top of the polls next year too.

It is doubtful that les could have reached this level of success at osu.

More Michigan "whimpering" about being an insignificant FB program

They have no more swagger ... no more "ships" ... no more "BO"

"BO" & "BEAR" ... Tards have a southern cousin & both worship WORM FOOD :hihi:

Miles could "cut on LSU" if he wanted ... Why would he really? And his age!

Les isn't gonna be a JOPA ... This came up on a recent radio call-in show (TJ Ribs Wed Night)

He's enjoying the fruits of his success here and has no desire to leave and start again!

Regarding RRod, I guess the conventional wisdom was that the WVU system wasn't going to work as well at UM. I tend to agree with that line of thinking, so I wasn't surprised to see him go.

As for CLM, who knows? Well, they do, I suppose. Interesting how this drama keeps getting drawn out. CLM might have one of the best gigs going right now. Saban did, and Saban was very fortunate to get back into that situation after that turn of events. I guess what I am saying is, could CLM be as successful at UM as he has been here? No slight on him, but the talent here is far better, generally speaking, than it is in MICH, with due respect of course.

BTW, can you eat frozen grass?

Tiger420 Sell crazy someplace else, all stocked up here.

I am glad he is here and I agree that he has an incredible opportunity to create a legacy. He would not be presented the same at UM. He has taken a great program and made it a damn fine program. And it was is one of his most criticized characteristics that has allowed him to achieve it all.

I also think it's curious that his madness has morphed into genius in the media.

    Damn fine football coach.

One thing is for sure: Michigan will NEVER get Miles now. Not after this unfolding of "events".
