Thu uh uh Yankees suck! The Yankees suck!

Beautiful way to end his career by not making the playoffs. Perfect, in fact. It's indicative of his eroding skill set.

So your skill set didn't erode as you got older? How sad for you that you are so consumed by hatred for Derek Jeter and the Yankees that you can't appreciate a great ending to a Hall of Fame career. On his last at bat ever in Yankee Stadium he delivered in the same fashion as he has played his entire career. He gave the fans who paid hundreds of dollars a ticket their money's worth.

The Yankees have won 27 World Series and appeared in 40. How does that compare to your Houston Lastros? Oh yeah, they had to "borrow" Yankee pitcher Roger Clemens just to get in one and get swept.

If the media would stop talking about him like he is still god's gift for the shortstop position, people would maybe appreciate his career more.

But unfortunately it is being shoved down our throats.

.309 BA, 3485 Hits, 1311 RBI - Derek Jeter's final career stats. Got a rbi single in his last ever at bat before being taken out in the 3rd inning to a standing ovation at Fenway
