So says the villians, and even our buddy cadillacattack agrees.

Don't have the website but I agree it has to be a myth. Since 1983, LSU is 86-49-2 at home. During that same time period, Auburn is 110-28-3 and Tennessee is 111-25-4.

I went but I was about as high as you could be in the stadium. It was still very loud and almost insane. LSU does a good job of keeping the crowd loud....of course there was a helluva lot for them to cheer about.

When things are going well for us, Jordan Hare is as loud as Tiger Stadium, but LSU is probably more consistently loud than Auburn. I've been to Tiger Stadium the last 2 times we played there, and that's about what I gathered.

I'm no mathematician, but even I can multiply and divide. The fact are clear – the Tigers are a slightly above average team at home. When you judge LSU against the Vanderbilts and Mississippi States of the world, I suppose the Tigers do have a home field advantage. But when compared to Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, Alabama, Georgia or even Ole Miss, LSU might as well play all its games at a neutral site.

The Tigers went 35-21 in home night games in the 1990's. Not too scary.

I try, I try. I think one thing we can all agree on is a hatred for the corndogs. If that's the tie that binds, then so be it.

Here's a great quote about Tiger Stadium, although you don't necessarily need to turn your speakers up.
"You've only beaten us once there since 1969, and even then it was by 2 points to a 3-8 team. Tiger Stadium is a filthy dump." -- me

The only thing scary about playing at LSU, is they way the fans treat the visting team's fans. Now that is down right scary!

JH is louder than tiger stadium for our 'rivalry' games.
I was there last year, and in 2001, 1997, 1995, 1993. The loudest I've ever heard ts was in 1997. But just a few minutes later, that night was also the quietest I've heard ts.

I was there, on the 45 yard line. I'll agree that the LSU fans were loud at the beginning, but I got the impression that everyone got bored by the second half (I know I was!) The 1997 game was much louder, because it was a much more exciting game.

My seats were on the 15 about half way up the lower section for this past game. I didn't feel the noise level in BR was as loud as the noise at the UT-AU game, nor was it as loud as previous games I attended in BR, including the earthquake game (naturally) or the game 2 years ago.
Night games in general are more intimidating to opposing fans, but not necessarily to the teams on the field. The lighting at BR is IMHO less than average, certainly not in the same league with Neyland or J-H.
Harder on passing teams and it's also harder to spot those interior holding calls
"Illegitimus non Carborundum"
the earthquake game is broadcast periodically on espn classics.....turn up your sound thru-out the entire game.....it is eerie in its intensity from the first quarter forward....it is that loud.....the seating is so elevated on the incline it traps the sound in.....reason this stadium is the #1 in not wanting to play in by opposing teams.....physics rules......
