Arkansas fans had complained about this when they got their new screen.

Basically, any stoppage of play meant commercials.

That sucks because that is all they display on the light ribbons on the upper decks now.

I'll take the commercials with the big screen. That's an acceptable trade off to me.

It depends on whether they are classy and have an LSU feel to them or just your average obnoxious local TV commercial, Dahhhlin!

So those black boxes on the sides of the big screen will have the down and distance etc? I thought those would be where the ads went.

    Found an old rendering.

be careful what you wish for. I was at a KC chiefs game a few years ago in Arrowhead stadium, and during every stoppage of play, they played the same commercial. It was some flea killer add with a puppy at its doggie day camp singing "there ain't no bugs on me, there ain't no bugs on me...." It was a real crowd killer hearing that song every few minutes, not to mention it was highly annoying.

The advertisements are a necessity. It is how they generate extra revenue to help keep the prices of the tickets and concessions down. Oh wait a minute, they obviously need to use that board for only advertisements, that way maybe they could actually get the prices down.
