The first pieces of the west upper deck came down this afternoon (Monday). If you haven't been by Tiger Stadium lately, there are a couple of huge cranes that were assembled last week to start taking down the deck in big chunks.

Did you take those pics from your office, Red? If so it would be cool if you could keep doing it so we could see the whole process.

What exactly is going to be different about it? I sat up there for my very first Tiger Stadium experience as a senior in HS for Tiger Day. I know they are adding more suites & a press box or something - but will there still be an upper deck? Will it look much different?

It will look like the east side, which means we will have two upperdecks that are offcenter...

Is anyone else thinking that this will not be finished on time and they will blame it on bad weather?

    No prob.

Check the new Upper Deck web site if you have a high-speed connection. They have a fine Flash video.

TAF New Stadium Club Web Site

It will be just like the east side deck, but with three club levels instead of two skybox levels. There are drawings on the website and a Q & A.

They also have designed it to bring it around the south end zone in the future.
