Great story. Glad Tiger Stadium met your expectations. If you met Tyrus,
Shaq and Addai, then you had a better night than 99.9% of the fans there. Hope you can make it back every year.

I grew up in SE Virginia and moved to La in 1964. I did not know much about LSU except they accepted any resident, and my grades were not that good. I graduated from HS and began LSU in 1965. I left La in 1987 and have moved numerous times because of employment. I have always been a Tiger fan and will be till they put me in the ground.

Sat. night was my first visit to TS since 1985 and my wife's first visit ever. Needless to say, it was great - even with the 2-hour trip out of the parking lot. Like you, my wife did not attend LSU but is a huge fan. We are already talking about out next BR visit and some road games close to our Tennessee home.

I am glad you enjoyed your experience. I wish we had the opportunity to talk. Maybe next time.

Sorry Hou, but Cannon 's punt return to beat Ole Miss was in 1959. Following that game the Tigers were 7 - 0, ranked #1 and poised to repeat as national champions. Unfortunately we lost a close game to Tennessee the next week to fall out of the national championship hunt. I remember, because I was 10 months old at the time of Cannon's big Halloween night run, and I became a lifelong fan that night!

Hey - great to meet you as well! To answer your question - I'm 6'8" and yet am still considered short in my family; I have a younger brother who has grown to 7'1"...

It is really interesting to hear how others found their undying support for LSU - maybe my story isn't so strange afterall :)

Looking forward to seeing another Tiger beatdown this weekend (albeit on TV this time) :thumb:
