His name was Art Foley. He was a shifty halfback that was from New Mexico that was a JC stud. Huey had Red Heard go to NM and get him for the Tigers. He missed the first game of that season, a 3-0 loss to TCU that he could have probably made a difference in. Art Foley had some problems after the Spring Hill game and was shortly thereafter diagnosed with a lung ailment. Doctors sent him home to NM to recoup in the dry humidity. Huey felt so indebted to Foley that he gave him a brand new sports car to drive home in. Unfortunately, he never recovered, and after several years Foley died.
