With all three being Jr's. this year and all having a chance to come out early. One they may have missed, Faulk?
http://espn.go.com/blog/pac12/post/_/id/37670/pac-12-players-in-nations-top-25 Ted Miller, "The list includes seven Pac-12 players. The SEC leads all conferences with nine (Washington fans: You might take note that practically the entire LSU defense made the cut)."
Why so surprised? Every guy ahead of him on that list except one is a cookie-cutter Heisman position: QB, backs, receivers.
I guess his small frame dropped him based on NFL potential, but if that's the case, how is Colin Klein so high? With that said, can't argue too much with it. Not like #s 1-7 don't deserve to be there in some order. Don't understand how Kiki goes above Big Sam though. But I love that both are there. We'd place a few more in the "next 25" if it were presented...Faulk, Reid, Hurst for sure. And Buck Fama...but how is Barret Jones not on this list? That MFer is an animal. No Tavon Austin?
Potential for the NFL is also a big consideration. Tyrann is going to have a lot of problems matching up frame-wise in the NFL. Receivers are just ridiculously tall. Mingo's edge speed is better than Sam's, and I think he's also a bit more raw so there's more upside. That's a bold prediction, but projections often involve that. Hard to argue with production, though.
It doesn't shock me that Matt Barkley is higher, I mean if ESPN sucked this guy off any harder his intestines would be in their gullets. It's just a sham. When you talk about the best football player, and your number 1 guy is a dude who can't even move because he has forrest gump braces on his knees. But again he is the golden boy so no shock there. But 2-7, come on.... this list is pure bullshit.
